This September Day.

I started this blog today thinking that my first post was going to be something that I have had on my mind for a while. The more and more I typed the more I felt disgusted. Here I am drowning in self...not pity but for lack of better word we shall use that. so self pity and not even thinking about anyone but myself.

Ten years ago today this country took a major blow. Everyone knows this so no point explaining it. I can still remember where I was. I was in Mrs. Jackson's class in Anahuac Middle School. She wouldnt tell us what happened but Mrs. Brent did. She said we could handle it. That we needed to know. That we deserved to know.

Everyday that goes by is a day that 2,977 families have been robbed of spending with their loved one. I don't know how to continue this.

Now atop the death poll from the attack we have numerous more added to this from the retaliation of 9/11. Without the battle of wrong or right, or which president did what, I would like for this to be a THANK YOU, for all of devotion and sacrifice and life. The devotion of the families who still suffer the loss daily, the sacrifice of the soldiers who fight this battle for us, and the lives of everyone who has been TAKEN from their families and friends due to this cruelty that was thrust upon us.

"Sept. 11 01, New York"

While the shocking unfolding events of Sept. 11, 2001
stunned the media and the world,
thin crisp pure clouds of a morning sky
embraced intense fire and smoke of hate.
And within
the unseen world...
Angelic hosts ran to and fro
helping thousands of confused souls
merge towards a place called heaven,
aided by selfless Fire Fighter,
Police and EMS workers,
with wings of gold.
Whist a
survivor,
stunned and dazed
looks away
as if in a haze.
But then by grace
there came a break,
America! America!
God Shed His Light On Thee!
She turned,
and in an instant
the tears dried from her eyes
and thought...
Perhaps some how and somewhere
beyond the vision of darkness
the unlearned
ignorant
will understand
that life is more precious than death,
and that love is more powerful than hate.
